Description
This BEAUTIFUL 1921 Conn C Melody Saxophone has recently been overhauled and features a brushed brass body and gold wash bell. It’s a MONSTER player and feels fantastic. It would be equally at home with a player or collector. You will find it hard to locate another 100+ year old C Melody in similar shape for this price! It won’t be around for long!
The now rare C Melody saxophone was created, along with a saxophone in F, for use in the orchestra setting. This C Melody features a straight, “alto style”, neck and plays just as you would image- between a tenor and alto. While they are rare, C Melodies are making a comeback among gigging musicians simply due to the fact that no transposition is necessary and the same music can be used for every member of the band! In the right hands, this horn SINGS!
